Amanda Dance, LAPC earned her M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and her B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In her previous work as a Children’s Ministry Director and Director of Instruction, Amanda gained extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and families with various issues—including ADHD, behavioral issues, self-esteem concerns, childhood traumas, and parental counseling. Amanda has found Play Therapy techniques, Solution-Focused therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to be especially helpful with her clients. While children and adolescents are a specialty for her, she enjoys assisting clients in all stages of life and those of all types including individuals and couples.
Besides her calling to help others, and spending time with her family, Amanda admits that it is her relationship with God that gives her the greatest joy. She feels blessed and privileged to assist others in their journey to mental healing.
