Creating Hope – Building Sexual Integrity
Typically, men will begin by participating in a 16 week group that is designed to lay a foundation for lifelong recovery from sexual addiction. After completing this group, there are more options available. Men of Integrity is an ongoing process group that meets weekly. There are also peer-led support groups in the Atlanta area, as well as on-line support groups that we periodically recommend to enhance your recovery process. Women Redeemed (Groups for female sex addicts)
Women Redeemed is a group for women seeking sexual wholeness and healing from sexual brokenness. Capstone Intimacy and Healthy Sexuality has pioneered in developing alternative treatment methods for women dealing with sexual compulsivity. The foundational group is 16 sessions. There are ongoing aftercare options to help on the road of recovery. The female addict is unique and can’t be treated in the same way as the male addict. Groups for spouses/partners provide a safe place for the healing process to begin. The foundational group is 16 weeks. During this time, there is an emphasis on grieving and healing from traumatic wounds. Long term aftercare groups are also available after the foundational group is completed. These groups provide a powerful healing experience by applying the principles and tools learned in the 16- week group. This group provides a powerful healing experience. Couples groups are for people who have been active in their individual work through therapy, groups and/or intensive workshops. This group is introduced when people are ready for indepth work on the relational dimension of recovery. For more information on the couples groups, click on the link below.
Some of the needs that come up in sex addicts, spouses, and their families may be addressed in specialized groups and seminars. Common issues encountered by families in recovery involve sexual abuse, spiritual abuse, stepfamily dynamics, and boundaries.
