Dr. Janice Stevens, LPC, NCC, CCSAS specializes in working with spouses/partners of sex addicts. She is an experienced group leader and therapist and is currently in the process of obtaining certification from the Association for Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS.) Dr. Stevens understands and works extensively with the trauma experienced by partners of people with sexual infidelity issues. She is a part of the Capstone Sexual Recovery & Transformation program.
Dr. Stevens obtained her doctorate degree in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors. She is a certified clinical sexual addiction specialist (CCSAS) through the International Association of Certified Sexual Addiction Specialists. She serves as an adjunct professor at Mercer University in the Master’s degree program for school counseling. Janice currently enjoys traveling and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Dr. Stevens has an extensive background in the field of school counseling where she worked with adolescents in individual, small group, and classroom settings. She also has considerable experience working with parents of adolescents, helping them develop a clear direction of how to guide their children through the difficult adolescent years. Her professional experience has helped Dr. Stevens develop knowledge, insight, and sound helping skills in order to better serve her clients in the counseling setting.
